Double for Trouble

So in the early hours of this morning i was exploring the new Xiphos bible software i recently installed on my new Ubuntu OS and i discovered something beautiful in the book of Job.

In his Bounce Back message, TD Jakes said just because you are in Gods will does not mean that trouble will not come. He said that Jesus was in the will of God and still on the way to the cross. He also said that God does not mean for us to lose because he is bringing us into a place of stability.

As i browsed through the book of Job, i discovered that even though God might allow trouble stir in the life of a believer, he always restores double for the trouble.

There was a man in the land of Uz whose name was Job. And that man was pure and upright, one who feared God and turned away from evil. Seven sons and three daughters were born to him. His possessions included 7,000 sheep, 3,000 camels, 500 yoke of oxen, and 500 female donkeys; in addition he had a very great household. Thus he was the greatest of all the people in the east. (Job 1:1-3 NET bible)

Fast-forward 41 chapters and 12 verses….

So the Lord blessed the second part of Job’s life more than the first. He had 14,000 sheep, 6,000 camels, 1,000 yoke of oxen, and 1,000 female donkeys. And he also had seven sons and three daughters. (Job 42:12-13 NET bible)

At the moment there is a shaking in my life similar to this…but even more obvious than the shaking are the silent whispers of assurance the Holy Spirit has been sending my way…I will not fail you…I do not plan for you to lose…i have brought you into a place of permanent provision…this is from glory to glory…you are walking into Gods greater blessings…the rehearsal comes before the role…this is the process for your progress…

Whoever said God stopped talking after the bible should have his head examined. How can you go through life without hearing the voice of God? *smh*

Like Pastor Chris pointed out in one of his long ago sermons, there is a significant difference in the scriptures when Jesus told the devil “it is written” and “it is said”… one was the logos, and the other the rhema

Devil, it has been said unto me and I refuse to fear!
